Climate Change Introduced

When writing this blog i tend to assume that those reading it have a prertty good prior knoledge of climate change, i have began to question this assumption. I now be keeping this post updated with introductory information and links about climate change and will link to this post from the side bar.

For an introduction to climate change the following may be of interest:

1. Climate Change: Facts and Impacts. A 18 page report about climate change and the emissions reductions required to avoid the forseen impacts.

  • Listen to me being interviewed obout this report
  • Download the report from here
  • Read part 1 (the basics of climate change)
  • Read part 2 (the impacts of climate change already observed)
  • Read part 3 (the future impacts of climate change)
  • Read part 4 (the level of emissions reductions required to avoid the worst future impacts)
    2. An introduction to climate change, a video from Columbia university.

    • Superb 1:20 hr video, suprisingly small (only 150MB) fine (actually streamable) if you have broadband, sorry if you dont :-(
    • The audio from this video (thanks to Alex from ecoshock radio) 36MB part 1 17MB part 2
    3. An introduction to climate change by the BBC

    4. A 'Flash' site by Oxford University: Climate Basics

    5. For a thorough introduction to Climate Change why not check out this FREE book by Dave Walker of Shefield University.
